These Seller Rules apply to all sellers using the Gem Minted marketplace. They are designed to ensure accurate listings, buyer trust, and fair trading standards across all collectibles sold on the platform.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in enforcement action as outlined in Section 10.

1. Seller Responsibility & Accountability

By listing items on Gem Minted, sellers confirm that:

  • They are the legal owner of the items listed or authorised to sell them
  • All listings accurately represent the items being sold
  • They will comply with all Gem Minted policies, including:
    • Product Listing Rules
    • Buyer Protection Policy
    • Refunds & Returns Policy
    • Shipping Guidelines

Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings and the fulfilment of their orders.

2. General Listing Standards (All Products)

All listings must:

  • Accurately describe the exact item the buyer will receive
  • Use correct categories, attributes, and condition selections
  • Include clear, honest descriptions with no misleading language
  • Use photographs of the actual item (no stock images unless permitted)
  • Reflect fair and reasonable pricing based on condition

Listings must not:

  • Misrepresent condition, authenticity, or grading
  • Use false scarcity, hype, or misleading claims
  • Attempt to bypass platform fees or move transactions off-platform

Gem Minted reserves the right to remove or amend any listing that does not meet marketplace standards.

3. Image Standards (Mandatory)

All listings must include clear, well-lit photographs.

Minimum standards:

  • Item fully visible and in focus
  • Neutral background preferred
  • No heavy filters or misleading colour correction
  • No watermarks obscuring the item

Gem Minted may publish visual image examples for different product types. Sellers are expected to follow these standards once published.

4. Raw / Ungraded Cards

Sellers must:

  • Show the exact card being sold
  • Select condition honestly and conservatively
  • Disclose all visible defects including:
    • Whitening
    • Edge wear
    • Surface damage
    • Creases or bends

Required images (examples to be added):

  • Clear Front of card
  • Clear Back of card
  • Close-ups of any flaws

Condition inflation or omission of defects is considered a policy breach.

5. Sealed Products

Sellers must:

  • Clearly state whether the product is factory sealed
  • Disclose any damage to packaging or seal integrity

Sealed listings must not:

  • Be resealed or tampered with
  • Claim “sealed” if previously opened

  • Full product view
  • Seal close-ups
  • Any visible damage

6. Graded Cards (Slabs)

Graded listings must:

  • State the grading company and grade accurately
  • Display the certification number where visible
  • Show the full slab front and back

Graded Cards min image requirements:

Listings must not:

  • Misrepresent grades or grading companies
  • Use phrases implying grading where none exists

7. Titles, Descriptions & Metadata

Listings must:

  • Use clear, accurate titles
  • Avoid keyword stuffing or unrelated terms
  • Use platform attributes correctly

Descriptions must:

  • Add clarity beyond the title
  • Clearly disclose defects, damage, or exceptions

8. Authenticity & Prohibited Items

All items must be authentic.

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Counterfeit or replica items
  • Altered or fake graded cards
  • Stolen goods
  • Items infringing intellectual property rights
  • Pre-sales of pre-ordered products

Suspected counterfeit items will be removed immediately and may result in permanent account suspension.

9. Expansion to Additional Collectibles

As Gem Minted expands into additional collectible categories (e.g. comics, figures, games, consoles), category-specific listing standards may be introduced.

Sellers will be notified in advance of any new requirements.

10. Enforcement & 3-Strikes Policy

Gem Minted enforces seller rules to protect buyers and maintain platform integrity.

Strike 1 — Warning

Issued for:

  • Minor listing inaccuracies
  • Missing images or disclosures
  • Incorrect attributes or categories

Action:

  • Listing may be edited or removed
  • Seller notified with guidance

Strike 2 — Restriction

Issued for:

  • Repeated inaccuracies
  • Condition inflation
  • Failure to correct issues after warning

Action:

  • Temporary listing restrictions
  • Increased monitoring
  • Mandatory corrections

Strike 3 — Suspension or Removal

Issued for:

  • Serious misrepresentation
  • Counterfeit items
  • Repeated breaches
  • Abuse of platform systems

Action:

  • Account suspension or permanent removal
  • Outstanding listings removed
  • Payouts held where legally required

11. Platform Discretion

Gem Minted reserves the right to:

  • Bypass the 3-strike process for serious violations
  • Take immediate action where buyer trust or safety is at risk
  • Interpret and enforce these rules at its discretion

12. Acknowledgement

By selling on Gem Minted, sellers confirm that they:

  • Have read and understood these Seller Rules
  • Agree to comply fully with all platform policies
